An agricultural customer had a number of farms and a retail business at different locations, each with its own network.  Only one site was able to obtain broadband access to the internet with the others confined to very slow dial-up connections.  These computing islands were another problem for the management which travelled between sites and wanted access to data at all sites.

For a modest outlay and no recurring costs, this network provided a significant increase in bandwidth for the users and a return on investment in only a few months.  Following the success of this project, it was extended to a number of other facilities and departments.

Datavilla designed a network with a set of point to point links to provide connectivity between sites.  This allowed the management to access all their data from any site and all users to have high speed access to the internet.  This resulted in a significant increase in productivity as they no longer had to contend with very slow dial-up lines.  The increase in speed and the improved connectivity also offered the opportunity to implement new applications.  The voice traffic was moved to this network to provide an integrated system for all sites, another significant improvement that the management were seeking.
A social services department of a local council had some care homes and health centres with a low number of users that had to have access to its corporate network.  EPS8 links were initially provided to each location but the annual recurring costs of these circuits were proving expensive and they were looking for a more cost effective solution.  Slow speed leased lines finally caused the council to take action.
Datavilla supplied a point to multi-point wireless solution with subscriber modules at each location connecting back to an access point at a concentrator site where access was provided to the council's core network and all its facilities.
